On April 1st in2008, Christian Johann Springer took over one of Vienna's most traditional businesses "Johann Springer's Erben" from his mother Margarethe Weixelbraun who had successfully led and guided the company over many many centuries.
As a result, the shops and stores in Vienna were modernized and enlarged: In Kagran, the selection of hunting and sporting guns, military accessories and equipment, handguns and reloadable guns was increased, the store at Kagranerplatz 8 expanded. The shops in the city center, Am Graben 10 and Habsburgergasse 8 relocated to a new flagship store next to the famous Palais Coburg - to Weihburggasse 27 - a brand new flagship store on 3 levels and over 700 square meters that makes hunters and collectors hearts leap for joy. Since 2008 Joh. Springer's Erben has also been venturing in two new business models. Together with an experienced professional hunter, (jagd@springer-vienna.com) Joh. Springer's Erben has offered and organized a wide range of comprehensive hunting trips, that cater to each hunter's individual needs or requirements. Furthermore since the expansion we are now in the position to hold what are so called "silent auctions". These silent auctions are held regularly in our flagship store at Weihburggasse 27, 1010 Vienna: the bids are received in the mail and at the end of the auction the highest bid that has been received is accepted and the winner notified. Main organizer of these events is Ludwig Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn (auktion@springer-vienna.com). |
