The Internet, in particular the webshop, is used by JSE as an advertising medium. Weapons and ammunition can also be ordered via the webshop. However, our offers for weapons are only aimed at people who are authorized to purchase weapons in Austria or in the respective country of destination.
In this context, it should be noted that the dispatch or delivery of weapons and ammunition within Austria in accordance with Section 50 (2) or Section 139 (3) of the 1994 Industrial Code as amended is prohibited. As a result, gun and ammunition orders can only be picked up at one of our branches.
However, we are entitled to ship a gun (but not ammunition) to a gunsmith or licensed gun dealer of your choice. This is only possible after prior consultation with us and the respective gun dealer. Please contact us in this regard and provide us with the contact details of your arms dealer.
If you wish to purchase a weapon via the webshop, we will contact you after we have received your order in order to receive all the documents required for the purchase of the weapon (e.g. weapon owner’s license/weapon passport/hunting license etc.). When the weapon is picked up in one of our branches, the relevant original documents are checked again when it is handed over.
For C-weapons, according to Section 33, Paragraph 1 of the Weapons Act 1996, the purchaser must submit a report to the Central Weapons Register (ZWR) within six weeks. JSE does not carry out this report independently, but only after it has been commissioned to do so against payment of the fee provided for this (currently EUR 15.00). This does not apply to A- or B-weapons, this report is to be made on collection from the JSE premises (free of charge). If the goods are sent to a firearms tradesman for collection by the buyer, these obligations are transferred to the receiving firearms dealer.
