Self opening sidelock action type Beeley. Beautiful walnut stock with oil finish and fine chequering, straight hand. Blank stock oval.
Action handsomely engraved in Bulino style. Scenes of partridges on the left hand side, pheasants on the right and red grouse on the action bottom. All metal parts including trigger guard, top lever and steel butt corners are full-coverage engraved, signed "B. Talett ,97 ".
Interesting fact: The engraving was executed in 1997 by Bradley Tallet, who works for the house of Purdey.
