The Buttolo mouth reed is a versatile deer call. It can significantly improve hunting success during the rutting season. The call consists of a semi-circular, hollow plastic body covered with two membranes. These produce the sound when you blow into them. The so-called reeds are held in place by two clips and are positioned correctly when their tips cover the end of the hollow. With just a little practice, the Buttolo mouth call can be used to produce all the sounds that are important for successful hunting during the roe deer rutting season. This instrument can also be used to imitate the call of a hare.
